about

in the early to mid 90's i lived in a flat in the upper haight district of SF. this wonderful house was shared by fellow musicians and sound engineers rob baldwin,jon weiss,and joe altieri. we had a beautiful formal dinning room with hard wood floors and walls. at the time rob was working at haight ashbury music store and was buying alot of equip. with his purchases and the rest of our equip contributions we made that room into our humble studio affectionately known as "Rubba East studios". Rubba was Rob's nickname. between all our friends in the creative music community this became a regular late night hangout for jams and creating music. playing and recording music became a regular shared social activity with others. this became a laboratory for me personally to explore and learn the art of recording and mixing music.
